The Kyoto City Tourism Association (hereinafter “DMO Kyoto”) is currently seeking qualified contractors to submit proposals for article production for Kyoto City’s official international tourism website, “Kyoto Travel.”
Background
Kyoto City and DMO Kyoto have operated the “Kyoto Travel” website for several years to provide centralized, accurate and up-to-date information for foreign tourists. The website was redesigned in June of 2025 to more clearly convey important news and guidelines to the ever-increasing numbers of visitors to Kyoto, as well as to help promote sustainable tourism in the city.
Objectives
As Kyoto City’s official tourism website, “Kyoto Travel” must distinguish itself from the numerous other media outlets and content covering Kyoto. Moving forward, we need new articles that more effectively communicate the message that the city as well as DMO Kyoto wants to convey.
We seek a contractor capable of producing high-quality articles written in English from the perspective of foreign residents or visitors to Kyoto, while maximizing visibility through both traditional and AI-powered search engines.
