■Access from Kyoto Station
First, head to Enmachi Station on the JR Sagano Line. You will arrive in Kyoto in approximately 7 minutes. When you exit Enmachi Station and cross the “Enmachi” intersection, there is the Nishinokyo Enmachi [JR Enmachi Station] bus stop to the northwest, so take the West Japan JR Bus. After a 31-minute ride, you will arrive at the Toganoo bus stop. Kozan-ji Temple is just a short walk away. It takes about 48 minutes from Kyoto Station.

Alternatively, from Kyoto Station, take the Subway Karasuma Line to Karasuma Oike Station, then transfer to the Tozai Line to the final stop, Uzumasa Tenjingawa Station. It takes about 15 minutes from Kyoto Station to the Uzumasa Tenjingawa Station. It is also possible to take City Bus No. 8 or West Japan JR Bus from the bus stop at the Uzumasa Tenjingawa Station in the direction of Takao.

The West Japan JR Bus to Takao departs from Kyoto Station, but it is recommended to take the bus from JR Enmachi Station or the subway station at Uzumasa Tenjingawa to save time and make the bus ride shorter.

■Access from Shijo Kawaramachi (Kyoto Kawaramachi Station)
Take the Hankyu Kyoto Line to Omiya Station. Go to the ground level of the station and board the West Japan JR Bus or City Bus No. 8. (Note that the location of the bus stop differs depending on the bus company.) A 44-minute ride will take you to Toganoo bus stop, the closest stop to Kozan-ji Temple.
