■Access from Kyoto Station
A combination of subway and bus is recommended. From Kyoto Station, take the Subway Karasuma Line to Kitaoji Station. It’s about a 13 minute ride. Kitaoji Station is adjacent to the bus terminal, so head to the “Blue Bus Stop”. Take the City Bus North No. 3 and arrive at the Kamigamo Misonobashi bus stop in about 12 minutes. Once you cross Misono Bridge, you will see the red torii gate of Kamigamo-jinja Shrine. It takes about 5 minutes on foot.

■Access from Shijo Kawaramachi (Kyoto Kawaramachi Station)
Take the Hankyu Railway to Karasuma Station (connected to Shijo Station on the subway), one stop away, or walk directly to Shijo Station on the subway. From Shijo Station, take the Subway Karasuma Line to Kitaoji Station. It takes about 9 minutes to arrive. The route from Kitaoji Station is the same as the route from Kyoto Station above.
