Many temples and shrines in Japan host special events and performances around the mid-autumn when the moon is at its most beautiful. Its appearance this year will be celebrated on September 17th.
We have prepared a detailed list of temples and shrines that will organize moon-viewing events, such as ancient dance and music performances as well as tea ceremonies.
