Kyoto City Tourism Association, in collaboration with Discover Noh in Kyoto, will be organizing a series of Noh and Kyogen theater performances called “IMAGINE NOH” in October and November of 2026.
“IMAGINE NOH” is designed to make the noh and kyogen theater accessible to a wide audience, including viewers experiencing them for the first time.
Each event will be led by an MC specialized in these forms of art. They will offer engaging explanations about the history, spirit, and highlights of the performances.
The performances have been adapted into a shorter, beginner-friendly format lasting about 90 minutes. They will be followed by a question-and-answer session with the performers themselves.
