Kyoto City Tourism Association, in collaboration with Discover Noh in Kyoto, is presenting a new series of performances called “IMAGINE NOH” in November and December 2025. Each event will be guided by Kyoto Visitors Hosts (KVH): Kyoto City-certified interpreter guides who provide cultural insights and personalized introductions.
“IMAGINE NOH” is designed to make the noh and kyogen theater accessible to a wide audience, including those experiencing these arts for the first time.
The works presented have been adapted into shorter, beginner-friendly formats lasting only about 90 minutes. They will be followed by a question-and-answer session with the performers themselves.
KVH guides will offer engaging explanations about the history, spirit, and highlights of the performance, supporting audiences in deepening their appreciation.
