In order for domestic and international tourists visiting Kyoto to experience its tea culture, a
variety of activities are planned, including “tea ceremonies by various traditions of matcha and
sencha,” “exhibitions related to the historic ‘Kitano Ōchanoyu’,” “outdoor tea ceremonies by
local organizations,” and “sales booths and hands-on experience booths hosted by Kyoto-based
groups with ties to tea culture.”
