The Kyoto City Tourism Association is launching a new tour with The KVH (Kyoto City Visitors Host) !
The KVH (“Kyoto City Visitors Host”) organize tours that are aimed primarily at first-time tourists in Kyoto. They allow its participants the opportunity to not only enjoy learning about Kyoto’s history and culture, but also to learn important sustainable tourism tips for the city, such as hands-free travel and guidelines for etiquette in public transportation.

FUSHIMI INARI TAISHA Shrine English Guided Tour
Explore one of Kyoto’s most famous sacred places as we delve into the renowned Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine on 60-minutes guided tour.
Its awe-inspiring architecture and iconic Torii gates form an unforgettable spectacle.
The Kyoto City Visitors Hosts, Kyoto City’s official guides await customers in this sacred place and will explain the history and benefits of Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine with soaking in local customs.
Of course, strolling through the famous Senbon Torii, the pathway lined with hundreds of vermillion gates in this tour.
In addition, only participants of this tour will be able to watch a Kagura performance at the Kagura Hall, which is a sacred traditional dance up by “Kagurame” female shrine attendants.
At the end of this tour, customers will be more familiar with customs and practices in Kyoto than before.

Know before you go
・ This tour will be conducted only in English.
・ Please refrain from taking a picture and movie during the “Kagura”, a sacred traditional dance up by “Kagurame” female shrine attendants.
・ Each paid participant can bring 1 child aged 0-12 to join for free.
・ Earphone will be only provided to paid participants. If earphones are required for children, please purchase adult tickets.
・ The child has to be accompanied by an adult during the tour.
・ If you wish to bring more than one child to the tour, each additional child would have to purchase an adult ticket.
・ Please make sure you arrive well before the start of the tour.
・ Please be at the meeting point 10 minutes early. Tours start on time. If late, please find the guide in a green jacket and join the group.
