Tazuru is famous as a historic restaurant and hotel. Its Kyoto cuisine is descended from "Funatsuru" which left its name in the history of Kyoto society. The ingredients are chosen by the master in the market every morning, and the menu is decided with the concept of "delicious dishes with seasonal appeal." Kamogawa Noryo Yuka (platform over the Kamo River for enjoying the cool), a special attraction of summer in Kyoto, is established from May through September.
