*Ninna-ji Temple, Kannon-do Hall
The Kyoto Winter Special Openings is an annual Kyoto City-wide event that offers its participants access to the usually hidden parts of temples and shrines.
This year’s Special Openings are focused on locations and treasures tied to the famous warlords, the Toyotomi brothers – Toyotomi Hidenaga (1540 – 1591) and Toyotomi Hideyoshi (1537 – 1598).
All of the participating cultural sites are now ready to welcome visitors.
