The Kyoto Travel website has just been renewed to help provide you with even more helpful and interesting tourism information on Kyoto.
The biggest changes made to the website are as follows:
1) Changing the displayed screen depending on whether the user is in or outside of Japan.
2) Raised visibility and readibility of disaster information during emergencies (pop-up screen related to disasters will only appear for users within Japan).
3) New pages and their content:
・Discover Kyoto – Kyoto’s unique culture, history, crafts and cuisine.
・Hidden Gems of Kyoto – Six areas found just outside the city center and yet not as well known to tourists, as well as their characteristics and attractions.
・Festivals & Events – Regularly updated list of current and future events held in Kyoto city, and a search function to find specific events by their date, theme and area.
・Responsible Travel – Guidelines for tourists alongside easy-to-understand illustrations.
・Sustainable Tourism – Guidelines for tourists, as well as information on sustainable activities, accommodations, and articles that help travelers plan trips that are considerate of the evironment and local community.
4) The different language options now change the translation of the website into one of the six supported languages (English, Chinese (Traditional and Simplified), Korean, French and Spanish) without returning the user to the homepage.
5) Opportunities for businesses:
