The Aoi Matsuri Procession will be held as scheduled on May 15th
The festival is set to occur as scheduled.

If you are planning on travelling to see the Aoi Matsuri procession, please use public transportation.
Traffic regulations will be enforced on May 15th.
*Same-day paid viewing seat tickets can be purchased at 7-Eleven stores as well as the "Headquarters Tent" at the Kyoto Gyoen National Garden venue.
*In order to prevent accidents, please follow staff's instructions during the event.
*If you have purchased a paid viewing seat ticket please do not forget to bring it with you (there are no refunds).
*Please remember to stay hydrated and be careful of any symptoms of a heat stroke as it is expected to be hot. Please refrain from using parasols.
*In case it starts to rain during the procession please bring a raincoat with you. Umbrellas are not allowed to be used during the event.
