Making kyoto.travel Accessible for All
Kyoto City Official Travel Guide will be introducing on a trial basis, “FACIL’iti” a system to improve the web-browsing experience for people who have visual issues and mobility troubles, by automatically adjusting the screen to the person’s needs.
This trial will be the first time that FACIL’iti, started by a French company, has been introduced in Japan.
<How to use FACIL’iti>
Click the FACIL’iti logo at the bottom of the page, and you will be brought to the settings page. By choosing the disability that applies to you, you can browse an optimized version of our website suited to your needs. There is no cost for using this service.
Kyoto’s Other Universal Tourism Endeavors:
⋅ Wheelchair Rentals
Kyo-NAVI, the tourism information center in Kyoto Station, has wheelchairs that are available for loan. If you wish to borrow one of them, please bring your passport to Kyo-NAVI. Previous reservations are not accepted.
Because wheelchair rentals are handled on a first-come, first-served basis, there are times when we do not have one on hand to be loaned out. Thank you for your understanding.
