Masjid Kyoto / Kyoto Mosque

Welcome to Masjid Kyoto / Kyoto Mosque. It is located near the Imperial Palace.
We provide a printed version of this map to hotels cited in Muslim Friendly Kyoto. Please ask the concierge at your hotel for one. On the printed map, there are detailed instructions for getting to our mosque.

Our mosque and office are open from Tuesday to Saturday, 12:00 to 18:00. There are three prayer times on Fridays: 12:30, 13:00, and 13:30, however they are available for men only. We are closed on Sundays.
If you wish to use the prayer facilities during closing hours, please make prior arrangements at the office.
We intend to build a large new mosque (open on all days of the year) in the near future, insha’Allah. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the current limited opening hours.

Uzumasa Eigamura (Uzumasa Kyoto Village) is the only theme park in Japan where you can observe the filming of period dramas (jidaigeki films). Here you can walk freely around the TOEI Kyoto Studio film set. This set depicts a street from the Edo period, and is used to shoot more than 200 films per year.
