Western Kyoto City 
Takao is located on the north side of Saga-Arashiyama and is famous as one of Japan’s most beautiful spots to admire autumn leaves. The Kiyotaki-gawa River flows through the mountains and Kitayama cedar trees stretch straight up to the sky. Ancient temples with one-thousand-year histories create an elegant atmosphere different from that of the central area of the city.
