The Jidai Matsuri Festival is one of Kyoto's "Three Great Festivals" and a major event held at Heian-jingu Shrine. It began in 1895 in order to commemorate the 1,100th anniversary of the transfer of the capital to Heian-kyo (currently Kyoto).

This beautiful and in-depth look into the history of this city will be held on October 22nd (Tue), 2024.
