In bus stops, subway stations, 'Seven Eleven' convenience stores and public facilities, there are many wireless LAN spots in which everyone can use the Internet free of charge.
Note: If you use this service at a city bus stop, on the subway, or in a public facility, you will have to perform the authentication process once every 30 minutes.
Also, this service is not available at city bus stops between the hours of 1:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m.
*There are many other free Wi-Fi spots other than those listed above, but you can travel with ease of mind by purchasing a SIM card or rental pocket Wi-Fi router at the airport.
Tourist Information Center in Kyoto
At the tourist information centers in Kyoto, you can get pamphlets with maps and event information, as well as transit information. The staff on hand speak English, and many other languages, so you can ask questions in your native language. Look for a nearby information center during your travels in Kyoto.
