The Kyoto Autumn Leaves Calendar 2024 was released to give timely information on when and how the foliage changes in popular spots, including temples and shrines. The information has been updated today.

Beautiful, sunny weather continues in Kyoto City. You can still see autumn leaves in spots such as Higashiyama, Shimogamo and Kyoto National Park, among others. The foliage found in mountainous areas such as Kifune, Kurama and Mt. Hiei has already passed its peak, so make sure to enjoy the autumn season while possible!

Obai-in Temple is currently open to the public until December 8th (Sun). The garden found in its courtyard has been designed by a renowned tea master - Sen no Rikyu and is famous for its beautiful autumn foliage.
