During this unique event, "The Four Seasons of Kyoto," an enormous silk screen that took the artisans of Kyoto's Shibori (Tie-dye) Dyeing Association (Kyoto Koeikai) 8 years to complete will be put on display. The seasons of Kyoto are illustrated in grand fashion, with the spring portion depicts the weeping cherry tree of Maruyama-koen Park; for summer, the Gozan-no-Okuribi ritual fires; red foliage for autumn; and for winter, the light of the moon.
