Oharame Festival

Ohara is a rural village located in the northern part of the city, where the Oharame Festival is held every year. This mountain village, mentioned in “The Tale of the Heike,” will be a lively place during the festival.
During the climax of the festival, events like the Oharame Historical Procession, and Oharame Costume Wearing (reservations required) will be held.

Date & Time

April 20 (Sat) – June 14 (Fri), 2019 (As currently planned), 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Oharame Historical Procession:
May 11 (Sat), 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. *Will be postponed in the event of rain.
