Entoku-in is a sub-temple of Kodai-ji Temple, where Kitanomandokoro Nene, the legal wife of the warlord Toyotomi Hideyoshi spent 19 years at the end of her life. The north garden was created by the artistic minds of master gardeners from the Azuchi-Momoyama (1568–1600) to Edo (1603-1868) periods, and later, a dry garden with paths around a pond was created by Kobori Enshu. During the evening light-up, visitors can enjoy the quiet and relaxing nature of the temple.
