As the harvest moon rises over Osawa Pond, boats carved in the shapes of dragons and birds are set afloat on its surface for the moon-viewing pleasure of visitors. A fee will be required.
Together with Sarusawa Pond and Ishiyama-dera Temple, Osawa Pond is considered one of the three gratest moon-viewing locations in Japan.
