As a part of efforts to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus COVID-19, some events in Kyoto will be canceled and some facilities will be closed.

【Museums & Historical Places, Other Facilities】
● Kyoto National Museum will be closed on February 27th (Thu), 2020 - March 23rd (Mon), 2020. From March 23rd (Mon), only the garden space will be open.
 
● The National Museum of Modern Art, Kyoto will be temporarily closed until further notice, beginning on February 29th (Sat), 2020
 
● Yasaka Hall Gion Corner: Performances will be canceled until April 30th (Thu), 2020
 
● TOEI Kyoto Studio Park will be closed until further notice, beginning on March 2nd (Mon), 2020.
 
● Kyoto Aquarium will be closed from February 29th (Sat), 2020 until Early April, 2020.
 
● Nijo-jo Castle’s Ninomaru-goten Palace will be closed from March 1st (Sun) - March 22nd (Sun), 2020. Also, the Nijo-jo Castle English guided tour will be canceled until further notice.
 
● Kyoto International Manga Museum will be closed on February 29th (Sat) - March 22nd (Sun), 2020.

● Kaleidoscope Museum of Kyoto will be closed on March 3rd (Tue) - March 22nd (Sun), 2020.
 
● Kyoto Railway Museum will be closed on February 29th (Sat) - March 31st (Tue), 2020.
 
● Kyoto Seishu Netsuke Art Museum will be closed on March 4th (Wed), 2020 - March 23rd (Mon), 2020.
 
● Kyoto Sento Imperial Palace, Katsura Imperial Villa, and Shugakuin Imperial Villa will not be accepting new applications for advance registration or walk-in applications until further notice, beginning on March 4th (Wed) , 2020.
 
● Kyoto Imperial Palace will be closed until March 31st (Tue), 2020.
 
● The Kyoto City KYOCERA Museum of Art has postponed its reopening to April 4th (Sat), 2020 (Originally scheduled for March 21st (Sat), 2020).
 
● Gekkeikan Okura Sake Museum will be closed until further notice, beginning on March 5th (Thu), 2020.

● The event Kyoto, Higashiyama Hanatouro 2020 (Originally scheduled for March 6th (Fri) - March 15th (Sun), will be canceled.
 
● The event KYOTOGRAPHIE 2020 (Originally scheduled for April 18th (Sat) - May 17th (Sun), 2020) has been postponed to September 19th (Sat) - October 18th (Sun), 2020.
 
● The event 71st Kyo-Odori (Originally scheduled for April 1st (Wed) - April 16th (Thu), 2020) has been postponed. It is now scheduled for October.
 
● The event Kitano-Odori (Originally scheduled for March 20th (Fri) - April 2nd (Thu), 2020) has been postponed. It’s new dates are to be determined.
 
● The event Miyako-Odori (Originally scheduled for April 1st (Wed) - April 27th (Mon), 2020) has been canceled.
