This dish is unique to Menbaka Ichidai, a small and old-fashioned Ramen restaurant near Nijo castle. After receiving special safety instructions, it’s time to sit back and enjoy the show in which the chef pours burning oil over your bowl of green onion Ramen. The burning oil is used to bring out the flavor of the green onions and make the dish more delicious. The restaurant even has a special set up if you wish to film the experience with your mobile phone.
This restaurant offers you the chance to step into the kitchen of a real Ramen restaurant and make your own, unique bowl of Ramen. Start by preparing the meat to garnish your finished bowl of noodles, knead the dough for your noodles, mix your soup and learn the special technique of shaking off excess water from your cooked noodles. The whole experience takes two hours and you will be able to eat your hand-made Ramen once they are finished.
