In a first step towards the renovation of the Kyoto station area hotel, Kyoto Century Hotel has reopened its first remodeled rooms, which include the Grand Comfort Superior and the Grand Comfort Deluxe rooms on the 6th floor as well as the Junior Suite and the Garden Suite on the 3rd floor, which feature Japanese-style garden verandas. The rooms were redesigned by award-winning interior designer Takashi Fujii with the design concept “Nostalgic Modern” and feature Simmons beds which make for a more comfortable and relaxing sleeping experience. Furthermore, the bathroom units have been separated, which allows guests to share the facilities more easily. The overall concept “BIO-Style” is noticeable in, amongst other things, the Ikeuchi organic towels and Ogawa bird-friendly organic coffee provided in the rooms as well as the ingredients used in the meals at the hotel’s restaurants.
The hotel is located right next to Kyoto station thus making the access to any part of the city easy as well as letting guests view the trains, such as the Japanese Shinkansen bullet-train, pull in and out of the station. Despite the closeness to the station, none of the noise can be heard inside the rooms.
