Public Green Tea Party
The 3rd of March marks the date of the “Hina Matsuri”, the traditional Girls’ Day. From February until the day of the festival, many families display an array of dolls representing an emperor and empress, attendants and musicians.
From February 25 until April 2, 2017, Waza Eieitou is holding an exhibition of “Hina” dolls from the 17th century to today, as well as doll furniture, cooking utensils and more.
Besides the exhibition, visitors can enjoy tea and Hichikiri, sweets that are traditionally eaten during the festival, in a small tea room.

Admission Fee: Adults: 600 JPY; University and High School students: 400 JPY Junior High School Children and younger: free
Tea and Sweets: 1,000 JPY
On March 5 visitors can join a tea ceremony where Matcha green tea will be served by girls, who are studying tea ceremony. Places are limited to 6 people per ceremony and reservation is required.
